Hi guys,

Just purchased a 52 plate wrx sti uk which is supurb apart from the stereo. I might sound thick but how do i remove the double din stereo! dont want to start with the screwdriver and scratch something. Also if you put in a single din stereo, where do you get the box or tray to put underneath to cover the space from the double din.

Go to any car radio centre and they will pull it out in a few seconds( the radio that is).

• Pull out the cup holder above the stereo.
• Remove the single philips screw
• Remove the cup holder unit from the dash
• Starting below where the cup holder was, pull out the facia surrounding the stereo, working anti-clockwise until you get to the bottom right corner
• Using a bit of force and some manipulating, pull out the bottom right corner and the facia should come off
• Remove the 4 - 6 screws and the stereo cage should pull out

Replace 2 DIN unit with 1 DIN unit and fit plastic pocket from either Subaru, Halfords, etc (~£15).
