What's the Supra like?

I was wondering about these the other day (I do like Toyota engines) I was especially wondering about the levels of power they seem to take with standard internals

A friend of mine has a twin turbo Supra, manual, with a veilside kit and 18" blitz alloys. It looks stunning and goes exceptionally well. Not sure what it's running, think they are approx 320bhp standard? He's got a fully decatted exhaust, HKS induction kit and electronic boost controller.

Very, very jealous, love twin turbo Supras................but love Impreza's even more!

Hi
Ive owned a TT supra 465bhp

The engines are strong, mine was seriously seriously fast, I destroyed a cerbera in it, we were both doing well over 170mph up hill !!!!!

Problem is mate ! you will bore of it in no time !! they are to big, and dont handle !! you will get shredded on everything but straightline !!

To big for the back roads, brakes are poor compared to the power available.

Enjoy though, its a car I think you certainly need to own at some point.

yeh but u have to consider the fact, that 0-60 really doesnt apply in most cases, not realistic, these pull seriously all the way above 160mph, i am going from a 300bhp sti type r so i do know...but these are just class! can take 400bhp with minimal effort no probs whatsoever, the hks fmic and hks suspension i love too, had that suspension on my old type r integra, not sure on the make of the exhaust but it looks big and am sure it will sound the muttsss nuttsss

a mate has a white twin turbo but opted to single huge turbo-a serious beast just short of 500 bhp and VV fast but looks like a big pram with that standard rear spoiler (running joke in case hes reading) goto the supra forums and you'll see a blow by blow account of his nightmare with pics of its transformation (loadsa time and even more money) but worth doing.

Also vids of autobahn fun easily annoying ferrari 355's (2 of em both playing)

with a lil money they can handle the twisties to but only in the dry

Have to say its is a good looking car especially from the side but the front is ..how can i say it a lil "in your face" however thats only my opinion-i hide behind a totally standard looking my96 WRX Un-colourcoded as yet, which isnt most peeps cup of tea.

Defo worth spending a bob or two i only experienced Johns when it was mildly tuned and it threw me into the back of the seat let alone the extra 70 or so horses he has now, Bl**dy hate following him coz he kills my baby pulling away bl**dy normally let alone caning it

Dont get me wrong when you get bored ill swap ya for mine if its not been sold off by then- if it doesnt sell it'll be garaged and given a 2.5 tranformation itself (after a long time saving mind )

have fun,
