Cool advice on 94 wrx

hi guys and girls i am just about to start shopping for my first scooby and am considering the awd turbo wrc probably an import any advice on what to look at when i go to see them?????

the reason i have not opted for the sti straight away is the insurance but i intend to work up to an sti eventually i am looking to spend about £4500 £5500

all advice greatly apreciated Dan

oops !!!! saw the post prior to mine, any how what are the best importers to deal with if i decide to go down this route ??? any personal recomendations????

Where are you from dan..? also make sure you buy the 95 spec wrx as this has 20ps more power and a cracking z4 ecu which is good for uk fuel. black and grey alcantara seats and folding mirrors...they did them from september 94...i have one.

Dan dunno if you saw my last post but Triton Motors in Bournemouth are great . I bought my Ver 1 STI(94) from them had no probs at all.
On the insurance note , when i rang my insurance company they said it was no extra to insure an STI import as opposed to a straight WRX import. I pay £445 fully comp 9 yrs ncb ( but they did stipulate it had to have a Cat1 alarm) Hope this helps .Dave

cheers dave although i am with direct line and they require a cat 1 alarm imobiliser and a tracker and my insurance will be £700 ish (fc) on an import wrx and about a grand on an sti i am 25 and no points no accidents so was quite pleased with the quote. I intend to have wrx for a year or so then go mad an get sti

I would try & get your hands on an Sti, by looking at the website of Jap Performance uk they have a white sti2.

For the sake of a couple of hundred you will get a much better spec i.e. i.c. water spray, stronger internals, 275bhp standard, quickshift, STi trim etc

Like bob mentioned if you are a good haggler possible to get him down a few hundred....

Oh and i have also dealt with J.P. , top bloke. His cars are normally sensibly priced, good luck in the search....
