Default Advice Sti type RA 97 model

Anyone owned one of these who can give me their views?
Been offered one and it sounds like a good deal would make a good track day car / occassional use on the road.

What are they like to use as an everyday car?
Is the gearing too low for motorway use?
Its got the DCD diff, can you set it to almost 100% rwd? Does the diff setting make much difference or is it a gimmick.
IS the steering any better than a normal UK turbo Imreza?
What about the brakes are they improved over the crappy standard ones?

To anyone who's owned one and can comment I'd be interested.

Have owned RB5 and Spec C never sat in a Sti RA so have no idea how it will compare.

thanks

hmm seems very odd to me that ur askin these questions about DCCD and uve already had it on your spec c!!?
its not a gimmick obviously, setting it in free all the way bac the most u get is 64% to the rear and 36% front, she will go sideways very easily!
i havent owned an ra but i have the type r which is pretty much the same in a 2dr shell, very close box too and a pain on motorway journeys yes, great acceleration tho!
i use mine on the wknds, wudnt fancy driving her 7 days a week to be honest!
