There are quite a few of us Scooby owners in IT.
I am a Network Analyst, but everyone in IT seems to love Scoobies. Well we have to have a good image and get rid of the ****ty image that everyone in IT are nerds.

Hi
It seems us IT guys are just obsessed with power, be it servers, bandwidth, processors, ram, drive arrays etc.
The Scooby seems to fall nicely into the power category.
Regards
Kurt

Might be - what's it to ya?
Not giving you a job though munna - you clearly spend far too much time on here.
Speaking of jobs, I must do AWD's P45, so if anyone's got a spare job (like monitoring scoobynet) - he'll be on here first thing, you mark my words.

Yep there's lots of us - I do Technical Pre Sales, mainly routers, broadband DSL equipment (CPE and Telco) and D Channel/AODI kit. We've got two Scoobies in the company car park at the moment. Can't quite match the company next door where the MD turned up in a brand new Ferrari 360 last week - me? Jealous? No...

I'm a contractor too. 5 years as a Smalltalk developer and 14 years PL/1 before that.
Oddly enough, I've only ever met one other Scooby owner at work (hello Neil Riley!) although plenty of others are happy to drool over my car.

I used to be a Smalltalk developer working down at IBM Hursley. There doesn't seem to be much call for it now although it was good fun to code as long as you didn't want a fast system.

Contract Oracle DBA/UNIX Administrator. Usual DBA skills: Moaning at developers, shouting the odds about this and that, claiming to know everything about computers there is to know, and sitting in meetings doing loud, exaggerated yawns.

Not all techies. I feel a bit left out here. Yes I'm in IT and have been since I left school all those years ago but I've always been in sales and am now a sales manager at MicroWarehouse ( Inmac, Technomatic, MacWarehouse, LanWarehouse)
I too have the ability to multitask. iMac for serious work and PC for Scoobynetting !!
