Hi James,

PM him through the P1 site. If you do it through the message system at the top of the page you will see when he has read it. it will be in your outbox, then it will go to your sentbox when he has read it

Check the size of anything you do buy, seems that Godspeed have some confusion with the metric system and make sure any returns are delivered personally, as they never seem to arrive at their destination if using a courier  leaving you out of pocket.

I've dealt with Ian with regards to brakes and have found him one of the most helpful guys I've met.

I bought a big brake kit 2nd hand which were in a crappy state. I asked him to fit them (which he didn't really have to considering I'd bought 2nd hand not new from him)

He bent over backwards to fit the brakes and then sort out all the subsequent problems (all related to the previous owner). Mine are fine now.

Theres only 2 of them and I think they are pretty much flat out day in day out.

well seeing as I work 100 yds away from him I can walk into his workshop and speak to him , even when he's on a noisy machine , and yes I'll recommend his stuff because for the money no-one can touch them , and yes I have used them on many of my cars

AWD_WRX,

Can you please refrain from acting as a go between, on this site between Godspeed and his customers.

Regards,
Shaun.

Ron,

Ian Godney has been banned from this site, after several requests were made concerning the fact that he continued to post commercially without actually paying for this priviledge that every other trader that does is happy to.

Regards,
Shaun.

nice that stockcar is doing exactly the same thing as Ian was , giving out advice , and details and prices when asked , seems ok for him to do it ,

Shaun - I gave an answer to a question asked , nothing more ?? surely its better than going unanswered ?

Jon - Instead of trying to be clever , reply to him then , I think you'll find he emails loads of people per day

Gooner - I'm not knocking Stockcar in any way as I know someone who has had stuff off him and was very happy , just using it as an example as Ian was banned for dong what stockcar is doing , just seems a bit unfair one rule for one and all that

What's unfair... I make a comment about him, he emails me and I post it here?! The guy's supposed to be banned yet he has his little spy's (awd wrx) on here feeding him info...

To be honest I'm totally not going to bother to reply to his email as I will never use any of his products EVER!!

unfair re godspeed being banned but others who advertise in the same way are not penalised, not having a go at stockcar as i have had tonnes of advice and products off him.
i feel awd wrx is trying to do people favours as he works next to godspeed, shame he now gets abuse for trying to be nice.
all imho

I can see that Ian G. hasn't won many friends on here but seems a bit tight to jump on an SNet member who tries to defend him.

Yet when other threads are started about poor service from well known companies, everyone and his friend jumps down the OPs throat for attempting to bad mouth said company on SNet.

Any further threads relating to Godspeed will be ignored by me in future. I don't know the full details and don't want to. He helped me out and I'll be using him again - end of.

PS - not everyone gets exceptional service from companies in the spotlight. During my 205GTI days I had the most poor service ever experienced from a tuning company in my entire life from a company considered to be the dogs doodaas. Wouldn't give them a cold yet others thought I was an A-hole for saying they treated me badly.
