Default Advanced Driving

Advice please someone.

Just had a few mod's on my 03 STi which has resulted in around 340 bhp. Pleased as punch with it but feel as though I could do with some brushing up on my driving skills (or lack of them!!!)

Have wanted to go on one for ages and feel now is a good time. Has anyone been on one before? If so what did you do, do you feel you benefited from it? Costs and recomendations

Cheers

I passed my IAM test 2 years ago, basically highlights your awareness to what's going on around you, well that's how it helped me anyway. As for not been heavy footed all that has gone now.

As for offensive driving type stuff, I have done nothing.

For road driving try 'Ride Drive' www.ridedrive.co.uk ..... I haven't used them but alot of people on Pistonheads seem to like them. It's kind of IAM / Roadcraft adapted.

John Lyon Performance driving will instruct you in your own car on public roads. This is the website http://www.john-lyon.com/ but there isn't any info on there really, you need to call the chap. A friend of mine went to him for a course and told me it was excellent.

Keep an eye on the Trackdays and National Events section as we post our Driver Training Days on there. We run these at Bruntingthorpe near Leicester, as it is a very wide and open circuit which allows you to test the limits of your car in relative safety and you get expert tuition from professional instructors. An ideal place to test out your new creation

Cheers
