Default rear wipers

Does the lack of a rear wiper on a uk car get on anyone's nerves.
The Impreza is the 1st car i've owned without one and is my biggest problem with the car....sod fuel economy

Not too bad i suppose if its my only gripe

I guess you've only owned hatchbacks with wipers in the past. Chill man - you'll soon get used to not having the wiper. I've been in saloons (without wiper) for over a year now and it makes no diff now!

There is a way of installing them.

If you search on here you will hopefully find it.

I've looked into it before and its quite possible.

The deal fell through but I had arranged to buy everything from a crashed RA for £100. Rear screen, wiper arm and motor and rear wash bottle. All I had to do was wire it in, find a 3 point rocker switch (on/of/spray - IIRC Escort mk3 3 way rocker will fit next to the fog light switches)

RAC will do a remove and re-fit of the rear window for about £60. IIRC the glass on imports and UK cars is a different shade so this might be an issue.

I have an MY00 BTW. I've already fitted folding wing mirrors so the rear window is the next step to bring my UK car upto import spec.

When I bought my scoob, I thought it would irritate me, being used to having one, but it hasn't, got used to not having one nearly straight away.
I've found it helps to clear rain a bit quicker if you have the heated screen on.
