Default Condensation on rear window

For some reason i seem to be getting some condensation on my rear window at the moment, along the bottom.

Anyone else getting it? Or is it just my window seals?

are you talking of inside the window?

i get it inside where i park at work, sun warms up the inside of the car and then when it gets dark/cold/damp it'll mist up inside.

somethimes barely shifts even with the heated rear screen on!

Yeah inside the window, really annoying! Starting to get a bit of mould on the rear shelf!

Might go for a jap rear window/wiper so that its resealed at the same time

Yea i get the condensation at the bottom of the window to. Takes ages for the heater to clear it if at all. I presumed it was something to do with the vents through into the boot??? Havent noticed any mould yet but ill keep my eyes open.

Check your carpets, If they are damp, you'll get condensation.

Using the heater on it's feet setting will help stop them getting damp. (providing you don't have a leak).

Then when you get a dry nice sunny day (yeah, like that ever happens ), park the car up with the windows open a little to help it dry out.

Yep also get this, But I'm sure mine is coming from the leak I've got in the boot, water seems to be getting in either through the boot seal or the spoiler wholes and then condensing on the window

If you have suddenly started getting condensation inside on the windows - check that you have no left the air vent switch on recirculate. If so put it open to the outside that helps a lot.

If you are getting puddles of water in the boot -common cause is in sufficient mastick around the rear lights, particularly if you have ever refitted or replaced the originals.

Hope this helps.

Yep we have really bad steaming up/ condensation in the wagon also, seems a common problem. Flat Eric gave me same advice and works a treat, takes the moisture out of the air inside ... works a treat
