tints look a bit dark. you aware of the roadside checks that are now in operation? if you get pulled you can simply rip em back off, bargain i beleive its just the fronts that are subject to the new laws.

And as the car is classed as unroad worthy, your insurance may be invalid. Looks great though!

I had to remove the tint off my old car once the law changed. I wasn't too impressed.

They stop you and give you a ticket. If they told you about these things then the coppers might have to get back to solving crime. And thats the last thing they want to do.

The nice people who tinted my windows wrote to me to tell me of the law change...and offered to remove the film for a small charge

crystal ball. you not got one yet. i dont think general public are expected to know ongoing changes . i would imagine that you would be given a 14 day vdrs form in order that you are given time to change things as a general rule when stopped at the roadside.

Your right, ignorance of the law cannot be used as a defence IIRC. So I suppose that does make you responsible. How your supposed to keep on top of them all......

I know when they brought in the window tint law they said they would be giving advisors for the first 6 months and then getting their money collection books out.

Just so that you know, the front tints you have there will be illegal. If you get stopped, they can give you a vehicle defect notice to get them sorted (less than a 30% tint), and it only applies to the front two windows and windscreen. (if I remember correctly)

But they do look nice
