Question Debadging

What's the best way to take badging off bodywork with minimum paint damage, please? Brute Force? Solvent (if so which)?

TIA

Phil

In either case, a hairdryer to heat it up can be handy.

Hot but not boiling water or aforementioned hair dryer to soften the adhesive, and then for raised badging something like waxed dental floss to cut through it behind the badge with no damage.

Stain devels do an adhesive solvent which will clear any residue with no paint damage, but use sparingy.

Wash the area and apply a liberal coating of wax.

Job done

As above but used fishing line after heating with a hair dryer, little white spirit then a coating of polish.

How about removing the large WRX sticker on the rear
of my JDM wagon.

I want the clean look on the back and it's a bit in yer face.

Had to remove advertising from my wifes car.
We used hairdyer and then Tar and Gum remover (available in Halfords) for stubborn bits or any of the pattern still seen.
Worked a treat no sign of anything left.
