Road Angel 2 or Compact

Road Angel 2 or Compact
I know this has probably been asked before, but trying to search on "road angel" doesn't seem to work properly at the moment.
Anyway, couple of questions.
Thinking of spending upto £200 on a system and general consensus is these units are pretty good, (no doubt there will be a few who disagree).
question 1 - is the RA 2 worth the extra ?, I understand the laser detection bit is a tad pointless, (as once it detects it it's too late).
question 2 - are the subs transferrable from user to user (if I buy secondhand off e-bay) ?
Any contructive comments are welcome,
Thanks
Ian

I'd go for a road angle original, it uses tha same database and can come with lifetime subs , and I don't think electronically they are much different, just the looks. get one off E-bay for about £100

Might i suggest you visit Monty's of Sheffields (Subaru dealer) shop on Ebay.
The dealership runs an online ebay shop selling road angels amongst other things.
The sell via auction and i managed to pick up a road angel 2 (not compact) for £246, bargain!
Mind you, only a few bidding for it
Nik.
