Question Subaru Extended Warranties question

Just thinking ahead a few months when my warranty expires, and wondering how much it is to extend it?
And do people think its worth it or not?
Opinions please

Never knew how much it was but that is mad money. If your keeping up a full main dealer servicing then you'd think they'd have a bit more confidence in their cars??

Me neither. It's not worth more than £400 and when you consider the reliability in general, it should cost even less.

It would help IM guage reaction to their charges if they read this board, anyone know if they do?

Yep, its completely nuts. Mine came in a couple of weeks ago.....

Subaru Impreza - £618

Subaru Impreza Turbo - £864

Subaru Impreza Turbo P1 - £1274

They are having a laugh! I think I will take my chances.

This all kicked off about a year ago.... IM stopped doing their own warranties (something to do with that daft financial services act that was supposed to make everything cheaper .... IIRC). So IM got some third party p!ss takers to do the warranty. Prices doubled overnight and people like me who factored the costs of extending warranties when deciding what car to purchase got shafted!

I'll just sell mine before its 3 years old, but Subaru will have a serious job on their hands convincing me to buy another after their blatant disregard for their customers.

If you want to keep the car then it's:

cheaper third party warranty (various posts appeared about this, but no-one would stand up and say they knew a good outfit that had actually paid out on a claim)

Pot luck - stick the 800 quid aside in the bank and hope it covers anthing that goes amiss.

I'd be tempted by the latter....

I got a years extended used car warranty from subaru for £450. I only bought the car last november so i would imagine prices are still the same.

these prices are a joke. Think I'll do without! Might even get rid before then.
I wonder how much Mitsubishi charge on their extended warranties???
