Christmas & NY Mother In-Laws
Has anyone got any amusing stories about in-laws staying this Christmas and NY? I need some cheering up, my mother in law has been with us for two weeks...and there are a few days to go. Her greatest offence so far? Sitting down quickly with he massive bulk and cracking the beechwood frame of my handmade sofa.........and driving one of the metal feet through the laminate floor in the process. So...its probably a new sofa and a new floor.
Thanks MIL.

MIL Sickness
Razors...mine was to blunt..and I sold my shotgun a few weeks ago..otherwise I might have topped her or myself. She eats more than me (I am 15 stone) and is 5 foot tall. She must be 20 stone. At least, and with the brain of a flea.
When she gets in any of the cars I own the whole car dynamics change for the worse. Even my wife's Freelander sags when she gets in the back.

My heart goes out to you, BUT that was funny as ****!!!
I don't mean to laugh at other peoples' misfortune, but you've made me chuckle
I hope you get her to contribute to the replacement, after all, she broke it.

We were due to attend a large family meal today... it's not the mother in law though she's star it's the other bagage that comes with it.
Needless to say I happened to drink far to much last night and felt rather worse for wear and in no fit state to eat another roast.
Funniest thing is I very rarely drink and did'nt fancy getting drunk last night. So to not get the rough end of a sharp elbow for a lame excuse I had to pretend to get drunk all night and then sit in the ensuit for an hour with a bowl filling it from the tap then pouring it in to the loo with sickest of sick howls.
All worth it though had a cracking 4 hours on the PS2.
It's all in the planning a little creative imagination and effort.
