I have PIAA Driving lights on my STi (came with car) & saw them here http://www.performancesubaru.co.uk/p...p?id=195&cat=4 which was quite a shock...Not sure if there is any difference between these & fogs price wise. I'd imagine the cost is high as you need the colour coded surrounds as well as the lights, switches & brackets...

The covers should just pull off. The STI ones fit on a WRX if you remove the foglight surround bit which is what the WRX300 has except different logos on the covers. The covers have approx 4 locating pegs to hold them in place. I expect you'll find nothing behind them so you would need the lights and surrounds plus maybe wiring, switch etc to make to look/function like a standard WRX.
I've got a WRX03 and have put the STI covers on mine to protect the foglights as they ain't cheap to replace if one gets damaged and cannot ever remember actually using them. Driving lights would be a much better option IMHO.
