Dealers usually keep them after fitting a PPP. Theyre worth about £20; certainly thats the going rate. If its a dealer Id ask whether it was his to sell.

They might well be £300 for Subaru, but that doesn't mean that's what they are worth - for instance a full set of bugeye STI wheeels and tyres would set you back about £2000, but they're worth about £300. I'd be reluctant to go over £50 fitted for that tailpipe. You're also better off with the WR/Prodrive tailpipe anyway because it makes a better noise - the STi pipe isn't much louder than an WRX one, although it certainly looks better.

I've just fitted a Prodrive WR Sport back box to my 03 WRX and it sounds great- nice and burbly but not at all intrusive and not significantly noisier on motorway. Warranty unaffected and insurance co didn't want any more cash.
Mine was £67 +£20 p+p on ebay but they also come up on here quite regularly. New price from Subaru is £350 but because they're stainless steel second hand ones tend to be in v. good nick.
The back box off a PPP-fitted car is the same but with a 4" round tail pipe and can also be had nice and cheap!

STi back box is AFAIK just a change to the tail pipe, rest is same as the WRX, as above I'd go Prodrive or WR sport are a quality build, good sound and not to loud..
