I currently own an Sti IV Type R but feel like a change, can anyone recommend a different car? Is the Evo 6 an upgrade of more of the same? I am looking at spending a maximum of 25k.
Thanks

I've got an 87 Toyota Carina. You can have it for 25000 Lira. It'll stuff a cavalier any day!

If I was to change my TypeR, I'd get a BMW 330D!! I know its a diesel, but until you've driven one...........

Well, lets just say that in 99% of driving it is as quick as a Scoob. ( Flameproof suit on)

This is a serious suggestion BTW. Go and try one if you can find one.

Just got an Evo VI from a 97my scoob.

Not one sigle regret.

330d is excellent, worth a try to experence such a fast disel but not a serious alternative to concider.

BMW make excellent cars and I am considering getting one. The 330d has had a v.good write up but I think I would miss the thrill of driving something so manic as a Type R. That is why I might go for an EVO 6. I have driven one (RSX) and loved it, the gear box was not notchy like my car and the brakes were also awsome. Grip felt superb in the dry, what is it like in the wet? Which model have you got HUNTY?

P.S Still thinking about a BMW etc( Believe it or not)

If you dont want brand spanking new (not sure on how much they are new), why not consider the BMW M3 Coupe....fantastic and second hand models are suprisingly cheap

Question

Hunty,

How are you finding fuel consumption on the Evo, noticed the Euro combined figure is only half the Scoob's. Never managed to match these figures anyway!

Cheers
Lee

CJEN,

I have had a Makinen for nearly 2 weeks, and love it to bits.

Lee,

My first 3 tanks while running in I have got 22mpg, which includes a lot of urban running.
It has now done 800 miles and I am starting to open it up so the next tank may be a shock!

Kevin.
