Bucket seat help
I'm about to buy a pair of recaro buckets to go with the stripped out STI i have..
However do i need a set of rails to fit them onto or do i just need the subframes that would fit onto the original rails?

I have just gone through this on a Spec C.... personally it is a whole world of pain and unless you are proficient with a welder and have plenty of time I would get someone else to do it.
I spent just under 2 days converting a set of standard runners to fit the side mounts of a Sparco bucket seat........ but it was worth it in the end.
So in short...... it can be done, but takes time.
The other alternative is to weld mounting points for the side mounts directly on to the floorplan, but it depends how far you wish to go.
Regards,
Shaun.
