Lambda and knocklink -ideal location
Finding the ideal location for the Lambda and knock Link modules in the cabin is a problem.
What appears to be perfect is the small recessed tray under the radio/cassette player.
Anybody know how to remove this piece of useless plastic?

Pretty easy one really
Under the front corners of the gear leaver gaiter are two philips screws and there should be 2 screws at the side of the clock or pull out the cup holder if you have an import. Once these ar removed turn the gearknob anticlockwise until it comes off. Lift up the rear of the gargaiter surround and the entire surround unit should come away from the dash. Once removed you will be faced by 4 screws that hold the metal chasis to the dash. Take the screws out and you should be able to pull theradio, ashtray, little box under the radio out. don't forget to remove the earth wire that is attatched to the LH side of the stereo. You can then undu the 2 screws holding the lower box.

the tray is too small to have both boxes . i found the best and least destructive place in inside the sunglasses compartment in the centre console. both the lambda and knock link sit there side by side perfectly. all it will mean is during track days you will have to keep that lid open. during normal driving you will never need them. plus they are 2 hideous looking boxes that you would need to hide away.
