Angry HELP: Silicon Vandal!!!

I just returned to my car after lunch to find a big "slug" of clear silicon on the roof! It had hardened on the outside, so i tried to remove it by hand, but after much huffing and puffing and cursing I managed to remove just the top part (getting the liquid inside all over my hands and spreading on the roof!!!) whilst the part in contact with the roof remained firmly in place.
As my car was parked under a tree the silicon did not fall from a bird (unless the bird flu has some bizzarre side effects...) but was obviously the malicious act of a sensless vandal ... I so much wish I had seen him do it!
So how do I now remove the rest of the ugly gunk, as the only remedies to silicon I know would damage the car: razor blade - scratching - or acetone - discolouring ... ???

Thanks for your help ... I'm fuming, why do these pri**s do this ... !

I'd try a plastic ice scraper to get the worst of it off, then a clay bar to do the rest

I would be concerned about scratching the paintwork using a scraper, just go easy.

Leave it overnight so it dries completely and has all gone hard ( should still feel a bit rubbery ) as its only on paint and doesnt have anything to really grip to, you should be able to peel it off carefully.

Thanks guys, will try gentle scraping in the morning once it's 100% dry, if that fails I'll try a removal product like the one linked above.
I still can't believe people go around doing stuff like this ...

Den braven sealants also do a silicone remover, most hardware shops will sell this, its the easiest and most effective way, I would not scrape it TBH

it should peel off if you rub it when dry. be carefull of using silicone remover as the chemicals might damage your paintwork..

Petrol softens it. I tried syphoning some petrol once with a piece of silicone tubing and it went gunky very quickly.
