Impreza Advice Please
I am after some advice on what to look for when purchasing a impreza turbo uk spec. My budget is between 4-5k so for this price i am not expecting anything newer than a 96' plate. Never owned a turbo before so any advice would be greatly appreciated, Cheers

At £4K you'll struggle to find anything that isnt either really high mileage or pretty rough - £5K - £6K will give you more choice, for this you should get something in decent condition with average miles, up to an R or S plate ( these are the facelift models which are much nicer than the earliest UK Turbos )
Steer clear of anything that has been home modded, claims ridculous bhp etc...
If you can find a car that has been properly maintained by someone who can afford to run it properly it would be best - beware of young sellers who have had to spend all their money on insurance and couldnt afford to get it serviced !
There are decent cars out there, but you'll probably look at 10 complete sheds before you find a really nice one, so dont be tempted to just go for the first one you see and get shiney car syndrome !
