Unhappy

(webmaster can/please delete 03/10/00)

Calling anyone who has more IT knowledge than myself and could assist in the removal of the following worm received in my NT Server over the weekend....

Detected as Wscript.KakWorm
Aliases VBS.Kak.Worm
Kagou-Anti-Krosoft
Kagou-Anti-Kro$oft
Infection Length 4116 bytes
Likelihood Common
Trigger Dates 1st of any month at 5 p.m.
Detected on December 27, 1999

I know its off subject - and as such I apologise - just don't seem to be getting any assistance from Norton/Policymaster/Demon or anyone for that matter - it appears to have affected my inbox?? tho not entirely sure.

Any assistance would be appreciated - I'm in the office for a while yet - 0113 250 0377.

Cheers Tom

Tom,

I take it you've probably got Norton AV installed on the server. So this may/may not be useful.

Cool

Thank you ALL for your help. It was really appreciated. I have just....16.00...managed to get things back up and running. It had caused problems in the NT and...well what the hell its sorted now.

Once again, thanks to all those that assisted.

I know it was off topic, but as a regular poster I felt this was the quickest and most efficient way of trying to get assistance.

I hope no-one took offense.

Webmaster, please feel free to delete this thread now - as it is no longer applicable.

Cheers all.
