Default Best for cleaning tree sap/marks

Any hints on the best cleaner to get rid of roof marks/residue from tree sap?

They do seem to come away using just soap and water but it needs a LOT of elbow grease and I was hoping there's something out there that takes it off without as much effort.

Cheers
Richard.

I bought a new sponge from halfrauds the other day and it's great. I think it is made by decosol, its grey in colour and one of the faces of the sponge is covered with soft black micro fibre which makes removal of bug, sap etc a piece of p**s. Buy one and see if it helps - it only cost about 3 / 4 quid.

Make sure it's not too cold when you're doing it.

Used it yesterday and it came up a treat and took everything off Still needed a fair amount of elbow grease as I'd left it on too long (it was on my wifes Megane) but it's all off now and looking good.
