M&M yesterday re dump valves
Anybody watch used car roadshow last night on men & motors @ 9pm.
They were going on about blow off/dump valves & do they increase BHP etc....
They tested it on Blue STI - looked very nice 2!!
1st run without the D.V - was 19psi
then once it was fitted they done another run - only 18psi - it was leaking boost -
They did amend the spring pressure - but did not show another dyno run - I take it this would have made 19psi again??
Would do you guys think??

What an utterly pointless test...... There is nothing a dumpvalve can do to increase BHP unless the one it's replacing leaks at high pressure. Dumpvalve is there for one reason only to stop air bouncing of a closed throttle back towards the turbo and stalling it. It should make gear changes smoother and help the longevity of the turbo. That's it
