Default Who can remove my decals? Advice also needed

I've spent the whole day trying to remove the decals from my car and to be honest I haven't go too far. Some appear to come off fairly easily using hair dryer coupled with bug and tar remover to get rid of the glue/ residue. However the main silver ones are coming off very slowly indeed.

Is there any firms out there who could take these off for me. Its not a question of laziness I really dont have the time with work at the moment. If not are there any other methods to getting these off. I can't continue doing what I'm doing now it really would take me months to get them all off!

Any advice appreciated.

White/ Grey ones come off no problem. The silver ones come off tiny bits at at a time.

Just had mine done like that, you bored with yours now??

I'm told a steam cleaner does the trick just fine!

why take off the stickers, looks great...

isopropyl alcohol will soften the glue alowing it to be removed.

WARNING

try this on an unnoticeable section of bodywork, in case of any reactions)

Wouldn't say bored as such but starting to use the car more and more now for work and it looks a bit strange me pulling up in a suit at a customers with the car splashed in graphics.

The negative comments eventually got to me as well unfortunately but over the last month or so the standard look really has grown on me especially black and fancied the change. Finally easier to sell come resale time.

Hope you're pleased with yours mate.

Took the stickers off my old race support van.
Boiling water from the kettle did the trick for me.

Up to you if you wanna try it but dont blame me if it ***** your paint.

Hair dryer is all you need, heat them up (softens the glue) and they peel off a piece of pish.

that's how i took mine off 1st time round
since then i've added different graphics but didn't like a bit so i tried the same method and it was a bastid this time , same sticker bloke as well . . rang him and told him and apparently the place he gets his vinyl are using a much stronger adhesive now
some must be different to others

before

during

after

decided the 99-00 wrc style would look better

Other than that Brown Brothers (part of Unipart group who also own Partco) supply body shop spares paint etc etc.

Tex automotive do something called an eraser wheel - part No DCA49 (pretty sure of that) use to work for them 8 years ago - how sad is that, you can use them for removing stickers, foam backing, glue etc etc great product but may be an expensive option as they are only approx 10mm wide!!!

Any way good luck which ever route you decide upon.

Or have a word with Sticky Stuff at a WYIOC meet - at a guess he possibly put them on and should know how to get them off or could do the job...

just dont press to hard it can burn paint work and you might need the car to be buffed after

I recently de-stickered the pickup, and the hair dryer approach worked fine on every panel other than the bonnet. I'm guessing that the heat from that beast of an engine had hardened the adhesive

Spent a good few hours trying to get them off with a kettle but didn't get far.

I took it round to my mates and used his steam cleaner, and they were off in minutes. Don't get it too close though or it will take the laquer off as well

It's all done with a cast vinyl, which is very thin (not to mention expensive)

As I've mentioned in the PMs it needs a bit of heat and TLC

DONT use a rubber wheel, that's what we've got, and I'd use it on a van but never on a car like this.

We can do the job, but I didn't offer 'cos you never asked. PM me if you want to discuss it
