For as long as it has been around for. It is severly out of date though (five years out of date to be precise) , and a few of the points written in there is based on gossip more so than actual fact.
Plus not even a hint of any **** oil change procedures, big end failure or the recommendations of super dooper mega thick 60w oil
Ahhh, reminds me of the "good 'ol days" of scooby ownership when non of the above claptrap existed

Give the guy a break he was only trying to be helpful, at least he didn't ask the same boring questions about exhausts, induction kits, and DV's, which invariably results in the I've got this and I've got that and you want one of these and you need one of those it's the dogs replies.

yeah, lay off the newbie. if we had something like that FAQ as a sticky on the forums here it would save alot of similar threads

Exactly what SN needs some simple faq sticky covering all the normal newbie questions once they have registered then they are made to read it before entering any forum.
Mind you if that happened then half the forums would have very few posts in

I find the SIDC a very good place and use it more than here.
Most of the shows i have been this year have been SIDC run and you lot just jump on the band wagon. How many shows does scoobynet sort out?
Each to they own but i will be staying on the SIDC.

for those that dont have a copy, puting it simply, they suggest an aptitude test before being allowed to post....

Wierd concept - there may be some newbies who haven't heard of SIDC after all, forum-wise, Scoobynet is a tad larger...... this guy's post may be of some use to some people.
Give the guy a break.

Well I came here on recommendation from 2 friends who are members as they said everyone was very nice and helpful.
After some of the comments made, I now find there are several D*CKS on this site that don't have anything else to do. Just trying to help out just a few newbies like I was, and yes it it helpful if you are new to purchasing a SUBARU and not had one before on what things to do/don't and what to look out for.
Thanks for everyone else who has helped me in other matters

now, now.
"Calm down...It's only a BBS"
Those who should know better - a really nice welcome!
Those who are not "used to Scoobynet", take some time to see who's who (not excusing any unwelcoming behaviour) - it's a great resource of info.

No I'm not being sarcastic - I am not a sarcastic person ... I mean I had just used Scoobynet forums since then. - except when i can't get in to Scoobynet of course ...then I go to SIDC forums to check if Scoobynet is down - there always someone putting a thread on
