Question Not having any of this!!!

Sorry it's not directly scoob related but it sort of is

Put a post on teh wanted section on here asking if anyone would wan't to swap there WRX or uk scoob for my BMW coupe 1996 N reg

http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthread.php?t=470523

Now my Beemer is a 323i and is worth about 4K.

I had an email of a woman asking if i wanted to swap for her Mitsi EVO 3 looks l, P reg silver with 320 BHP and 22,000 miles with around 20K spent on it in the past. Now is this a HUGE wind up that i havn't heard of before and it's just some immigrants trying to get mo somwere then rob my car or is this legit? She seemed pretty genuine and said the cars too fast and she needs a commuter.

Hard to answer i know but if it's legit i'm going to bite her bloody hand off!

Is she able to supply details of the car and pictures? If not, leave it well alone. If she asks for any personal details like address, registration, etc. don't do it unless you're happy she's legit.

I was slightly convinced till she sent this....

Just got this back after asking her for more details.

Dear Alan

I am in St Helens which is in between Manchester and Liverpool, it was only brought into the country in aug this year, it has had a major service from japaneese specialist, mot til jul06, tax til end of dec, in excellent con, there is nothing wrong with the gearbox it has all been checked and the clutch is a new paddle clutch which has been set to racing standard I have been told by the specialist which can be adjusted, it has had HKS suspension and K&N air filter and induction kit which cost me £2300 it has been super chipped and it has had so much moddifications which come to around 20K, I have had it valued by 3 japaneese specialist and they have told me it is worth £10,800 which is cheap for the amount that has been spent on it, but I dont care about the money I just want something that isnt as fast.

Thanks
Beverley

She sent 2 pics in the first mail but FFS sake she/he has gone to far with the scam now PMSL a word of warning to all sellers.

She sent one back asking for pics of my car and the reg etc so i sent this...

Hi Bev

Unfortunately i havn't got any pictures as yet but it Shaped like a banana with jelly wheels complete with stick on gum drops and the engine is made up of mainly herbs and spices.

The service history was given to me by a blue monkey from space so i'm not sure if it's legit but he had a burberry tracksuit on so i can't think of a reason to doubt him.The president of the united states also want's it so if the deal falls through i will let you know..

Peace out

onder2: I'd have at least sent photos of with reg blanked off, and then with a couple of big mates arranged to go and look to see if genuine, if it HPI's and all docs are in order then why not, oh and no matter how many mods an Evo 3 has it is only worth between 5-8, the 6's are nearly 10k now, so i do believe you could possibly of made a mistake, oh well.

No lads this was indeed a scam of the highest order! Just a lazy carjacker who couldn't be arsed going out and finding a car.

I do belive it was not a mistake.
