Ive been getting loads of calls for my car from a company called cardata, saying they got loads of people waiting and promising to sell the car for me by the weekend. Im obviously suspicious coz of the amount of scammers out there, anyone have any experiance with these??

Dozens of people here have had calls from them advising buyers are waiting, but where the h*** do these potential buyers come from? Never seen them advertise, that's for sure.

Scam, avoid. I worked on Switch card scheme for a while, and the number of customer wanting to charge back their transaction for this kind of c**p because they never saw th epromised buyers was staggering.

As most have said, stay well away. I paid £100 and not one phone call. They tell you they have people interested and that they will call. This is bollocks how can they have people interested if you havent signed up allready. What they mean is people may be interested in your type of car but even then i doubt this i think its some guy on his comp in his bedroom.

Avoid like the plague (as you seem to have done).

I paid something like £30 a couple of years ago to them or some similar firm and not one contact.

This sort of firm were on that Nicky Campbell consumer programme a few weeks ago. Well dodgey.

Tell them to get their buyers to buy your car FIRST then you will pay them their fees
