Default Road angel compact

Quite simply....Are Road Angel compacts any good

I would like a full monty but would rather spend £200 quid instead of 300.

From what i can gather the major difference is the radar detection which may soon become outlawed anyway.

any feedback welcome
Nik.

Have you looked at the Drive Smart, includes free subscription and is cheaper.

Are they any good?

Well, No. (imo of course)

I used to have an Origin B2, hard wired into the scoob. Rather than remove it I sold it with the Scoob.

For the 911 I didn't want hassles so just bought an RA C plugged it in to the cigar lighter, and though that would be a nice simple solution.

Think again, felt really cheap, cheap plastics, cheap screen. Also false alerts (even though updated daily), and didn't pick up the basildon A13 road works, even a week after they were started! Then it kept switching off and doing all sorts of weird things. Horrible. And the voice gets on your nerves, the menu's are useless, and if you turn on blackspots it will never shut up.

I sold it at a £50 loss and bought a Micro Pilot, which is now hard wired in. Amazing 1000 times better. Very Impressed.

Buy the CLASSIC one as I have one very reliable and was rated NO. 2 last year for the 2,500 mile test of loads of RADAR DETECTORS. I dectected all the relevant test and didn't fail once. YES I know why did it come second?????

Only because of it's size, but I don't think it is too big.

Hope this helps
