Default Heap of junk !!!

Have 2 weeks holiday, come back and yep you guessed it need to push the stupid thing out of the garage, minding not to scuff it and get the Audi round to jump start it.....

Dont talk to me about trickle chargers, surely those are for TVR's as you lot keep saying.....

Dont talk to me about trackers or alarms draining the battery.......

Dont talk to me about it being a special rally car, thats bollards.....

Dont talk to me about Subaru doing well in the JD survey......

This is a two year old car and I only changed the battery for the same reason 3 months ago......

I know loads of you suffer from the same problem so why the hell isnt Subaru doing something about it........Its crap this is 2005 these things should work at the turn of a key........

Once again I echo my thoughts ........JAP CRAP....

Clutter - I seem to remember you left your 15 year old car for about 6 weeks, and it started forst turn of the key!

I wonder how you would feel, if you had just got back to your car at the airport after a 12 hour flight and had the same problems?

My Jap crap starts everytime, but my French clutter takes ages to start, even if you've drove it 10mins before.

I only had my battery fail once when it was about 18 months old. Since then I've been running with sidelights and it's been fine. Same with all my mates. If you don't let the "smart" alternator see a current drop it will not charge the battery. This time of year is common for many marques to have batteries fail, as we suddenly start putting demands on them for lights, heaters, demisters etc. The Scoob suffers more due to the stupid alternator as all summer long you will have been running the car without much topping up of the charge as you won't have been using the electrical devices which draw enough current.

Get a fresh battery, and leave the sidelights on. Problem solved It's worked for me, and about 10 others in my local club

Without stating the obvious, has anyone ever tried fitting a battery with a larger Ah/CCA capacity?? A good battery supplier will easily find a larger capacity decent quality battery that will still fit in the tray. Because its pretty clear that the Ah/CCA specifications Subaru specify are insufficient when the car is left standing.
