Default Powerstation Remap Done It!!!

ECUTek Remap Done!!!!

Been there. Done it.

Having done a Rolling Road Session in June I was quite disappointed -202 Bhp and only 260.8 Nm.

So, when the remap came I was looking for some good gains. Fitted a HKS Hybrid green panel filter and a WR1 fuel pump in preparation. All the normal cats are still fitted to the car at the moment and running on 97 RON.

On the initial run Richard (The Wizard) explained that the car was over fuelling at the top end and that there may be an accuator restrictor problem. Explainations from The Wizard and his apprentice (Fuzz) where excellent for my none techno savvy mine to understand.

Anyway, a new restrictor was fitted, it's about the same size as a stud earring, and the mapping began. It took 2 1/2 hrs to do the map.

The following results where gained.
248.7 bhp
335.2 Nm

The best bit of all is how progressive, smooth and generally good the car feels. Grins per mile are now hugh. If my grin gets any bigger the top of my head will fall off . Unlike PPP the map is tuned to each car and owner, brilliant. I was not looking for a full ***** out performance figure and was very happy with the results.

Probably the best £499 +VAT I have spent in ages. Customer service and conduct of the staff at Powerstation is outstanding, Rich (Trap2) didn't get mapped until gone 4.30PM and finished just before 6. They all stayed and chatted until all was finished.

Happy ooooooooooooh yeah!!!!
Top run home

Just having mine done at the moment! What boost you running BTW? I've asked for mine to be mapped to 17psi.

Glad to hear it worked out well. I hope I get those kind of gains :-)

Hi Ian, glad to hear you're enjoying your new found power

Top run home, we were flying.....absolutely flying

With regard to what boost we are running, quite right, 1.2bar:

1.2 bar = 17.4045286 pound/square inch [absolute]

If you're running 17psi:

17 pound/square inch [absolute] = 1.1721087 bar

Its crazy the difference a remap can make, i had mine done along with a decat exhaust and WOW! Only trouble is when your use to the power it starts becoming expensive!

Sorry 335Nm = about 265ft/lbs Torque. Still quite good for a standard 01 UK MY WRX, 34K mileage.

And yes we were flying, could not believe the difference **** Me!!!!

Tell me about it, I couldn't stop laughing each time one of us roared past the other!

Ive checked an online conversion table, I think I've chosed the correct parameters?

335 newton meter/second = 247.0833288 foot pound-force/second

Are Nm = newton meter/second and ft/lbs Torque foot pound-force/second the correct parameters?

Still good for a standard WRX with only a new backbox and panel filter...

I worked mine out at:

347.2 newton meter/second = 256.0815874 foot pound-force/second
