Attn all classic owners...
being the observant chap that I am, I purchased MY99 UK wagon recently and looking in the glovebox for the first time the other day spotted a control panel!!! I am guessing it has something to do with the alarm, can anyone shed any light?!

Its the alarm override keypad. Should your key fob fail, you can type a code into the keypad to turn the alarm off and get the car going. This code should have been supplied with the car.

Most important function is for entering a PIN if you can't get the alarm / immoboliser to turn off via the key fob. Worth knowing as the MY99/00 model is prone to interference from mobile phone masts and such like.
You can do a whole host of other things as well, the manual that should have come with the car explains some of them e.g. disable ultra sonics if you wanted to leave the dog in the car, lock the doors when the car is started (anti-hijack) + there are a load of other hidden things which you will find if you search on here for the Sigma alarm manual e.g. turn on beeps when locking / unlocking the car etc.
