ALWAYS!!! sadly sold the scoob at the weekend, and can't stop waving! So if you see a loon in an ancient golf waving at you, don't take offence ;-)

Make good eye contact, hint of a smile, look as if you might wave, then as they wave smuggly stick your nose in the air as if to say "How common, its only a feckin' car mate!!!"
If we both had a cloned Caprice on each arm you might get a nod of mutual appreciation, but a car, nah!!!

I think I may start and wave
Had a few strange looks when I first started doing it, so I gave up. Will give it another shot. Seems to work better with classic owners. I never got acknowledged by the newage owners <shrug>

i was a classic owner myself once
i think the current trend of having a scoob as a company car amongst older men is killing the waving thing for newage!
i myself wave at everything with the subaru badge on, but you're right only about half even seem to notice. Especially the guy i sat next to at the lights last week looked at me as if i was s**t when i gave him the nod!

I'm sure that most of those that don't wave back didn't click there was another scoob heading in the opposite direction in time.
(read...those that wave are better drivers, more aware )

I've only had my WRX300 a few days so I haven't yet seen many other Scoobs to wave to - and the few that I have seen were either going too fast in the other direction or I didn't get chance to wave in time! Sorry if that was anyone on here...
However, I have always smiled at least, so if I don't get round to waving (and I will try, because I think it's a nice thing to do) you'll at least always get a smile from me!
