Default Road Angel Compact Update Problem

Hi

Bought a Road Angel Compact yesterday and registered it online. I got the confirmation email back today but when I try to update it I get an error message - Error 0

Any ideas what this is? Found that the tech help section lists this prob for the RA2 (not enough power from USB) but I have tried it with all my USB ports and same problem.

Anyone got ideas??

Had problems when I first got mine. Connected up to a usb2 port and it works fine now.

Have had a few dodgy readings with it mind you. Either that or i`ve got the fastest scooby around as mine told me i was doing 289mph the other day!!!!
I was only in 3rd gear as welll!!!!!

Are they any good compared to the top one ?
THinking about getting one as they are only 200 quid.
Do you get symbols on the display showing what type of detector is trying to sting you ?

Tried all 6 of my USB ports and none seem to work! Dammit. Cheers for suggestion (2 of my prots are usb2.0)

in my case it was a lack of power from the usb port. when connected it would say laser check speed (or a fraction of that). Do you have another machine you can try it on? Are you using a usb hub, if so maybe a powered hub might help or disconnect the hub and try it.

if you email road angel tech support they are helpul

yeah, have e-mailed for the free mains device they supply... not using a USB hub - just the USB ports on my desktop. My work laptop won't let me install the software as I'm not the admin Got nothing back from the support e-mail address today though...

Will try my folks PC tomorrow but it is a dell desktop same as mine so unlikely to be any different.

I've updated my second hand 6 week old one apparently successfully on two different desktops, progress bar goes to 100%, but the device on power up says data out of date. Have emailed Blackspot.

Mine has just started to the exact same thing. Updated it several times but unit keeps saying it needs updating. I`ll have ti e-mail them as well.Seems like it could be a common fault.
