Red face Subaru Rally Team's Sneaky Extra Power Shocker!

For those of you with this years McKlein Rally calendar, i have just made the startling discovery of the lengths the Subaru rally team go to for extra power!

Look at the co-drivers floor in between the fire extinguisher and the footrest, on the Subaru WRC interior shot in Octobers picture.

Sorry to those of you without the calendar, but it's too big to scan. (I'll post the answer later if no one responds).

Regards, Daz

It looks like nobody has the calendar.

But basically there is a big cordless drill drill strapped to the floor with the chuck going into a hole into footrest, and is then connected by a series of gears to the drive shaft (ok maybe not the last bit). It definately looks better than it describes.

Seriously though, does anybody know what it's for. I assumed it's for taking the wheel nuts off, but wouldn't they stow that in the boot with the spare wheel?

Regards, Daz
