Unhappy ECU HELP PLEASE

HI IVE JUST GONE TO HAVE A LOOK AT MY UK IMPREZA MY94 WAGONS ECU TO FIND THAT IT IS IN ALMOST NEW CONDITION AND IN A DIFFERENT PLACE TO OTHER PEOPLES SCOOBYS,MINE IS UNDER AN ALU FOOT PLATE IN THE PASSENGER SIDE,THOUGHT IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE NEARER THE CENTRE CONSOLE?I ALSO FOUND THESE NUMBERS V7(QUITE BIG) 226 11AB730 AND THEN UNDERNEATH A18/000RJ5-3215 COULD SOMEONE SHED SOME LIGHT AS TO WHETHER THIS IS THE CORRECT ECU FOR MY CAR?

it is located in the correct place. There are various different ecus, if your car drives okay then it is the right one, although you could interchange it with a different one from a similar year car.

STOP SHOUTING

Well it's definately in the right place, all impreza ECU's are located under the plate in the passenger footwell.

I'm not sure what ECU should be in that model i'm afraid, the oldest I've looked at was a 1995 but that was a Type RA which had a 'Z4' ECU. Maybe someone else who has a UK MY94 will know?

cheerz all much appreciated.the cars runnin fine,a little too well for a uk spec,but as alot of the mods were already there when i got it and not alot of history im just trying to work out whats what.thanks for the help
