Unhappy

Waiting till Nov for Dutch import, ordered in
April, is driving me round the bend.
Symptoms:
Bought the scalextric car (for my son!).
Bought remote control car(for my son).
Addicted to Scoobynet but never posted-(Im
not worthy I haven't got one yet).
Growing lack of respect from her indoors-
"you sad man" & "It's only a car" and suchlike.
Apoplectic fits on seeing a Scooby on the road-There ain't many around here.
Anyone down Eastbourne way this weekend fancy taking the sad man for a short spin? There are some pretty good windy bits in these parts!.

If she thinks your sad now, what will she do when you wake her up at 2am when your on your way out for a drive as the roads will be clearer ...

But when you finally take delivery, just think about that huge grin you will have on your face when you know you have not paid £21k for your scooby

Talking

Joni,
I will ring and make arrangements for a saunter around the winding roads at the west side of Eastbourne. How many offers have you had so far from the sparse population of scoobs around Eastbourne? Are any from people of working age?

Thumbs up

Many thanks mate. For "mail replies",read "mail reply"- bit over optimistic. Eastbourne is good place to show off the scoob. You still see pedestrians dribbling when one goes by.Whether It's age or lack of scoob exposure......?

Cool

joni,

The pedestrians trimble all over the country - not just in Eastbourne

I hope it turns up soon.

All the best

Have you ordered the car directly from the dealer, or via an import agency?

Unless you've ordered it via an agency and you're paying to have the car collected and delivered to your door, and they have included the alarm as part of the price, I would be very surprised if the car comes with a CAT1 alarm. I'm not aware of anyone who's had an alarm fitted at the dealer's.

Pete C,
Lazy and sad....delivery via carbusters, however I think I was one of the first and am not convinced they know what they have confirmed, hence my suspicious mind.I did get them to write and confirm that particular point.S'pose I'll just have to wait and see

Well......if you've got it in writing that that is what they're going to deliver, and that's what you've signed for, then you should be covered. Alternatively, if they can't deliver it with the CAT1 alarm, then you can get them to knock the cost of fitting one (somewhere around £350) off the price.

Question

MY00 or MY01?

Not wishing to worry you if you've ordered a MY00, but there can't be that many MY00 still to be delivered from Holland given they alledgedly stopped shipping them from Japan back in June. As far as I'm aware the parallel importers have now taken their last MY00 & I read somewhere this morning that there were only 2 new MY00s left in Ireland. However there's probably many UK MY00s still at the dealers given the high UK prices...

Merlin,
Assured MY00. Had second thoughts a while ago when launch of MY01 announced.Saw the pics..... No more second Thoughts. I know all the arguments about residuals or lack of, butMY00 was what I wanted and that's what i'm going to get. Absolutely confirmed by supplier. If otherwise for any reason, please see "cars for sale" in November
