Default 1996 Legacy estate, 280 BHP???

Thinking about getting one of these. Know nothing at the moment, are there UK cars that are twin turbo 280BHP. How did they get the extra horses over the impreza. What are they like to drive? What insurance group. I have been on 'Legacy registry' website briefly but some help would be appreciated.

High there

As far as im aware, there were never any official twins sold through UK dealers. Prodrive brought in a few, but thats about it. The only official legacy is the single turbo, approx 200bup, think they ceased on an L plate. All the twins are imports, so usual cautions when buying an import need to be taken.

Just over a year ago, i very nearly bought a B4, and what a car it was, smooth, very fast and refined. couldnt fault the car othere than the one i put my deposit on had a very shadey past to say the least, so i walked..

Not much help, but maybe a little more clearer on what your looking for now

I test drove an automatic 280bhp one about 6 months ago and was very dissapointed with its lack of acceleration. Handling was excellent though.
