Upgrades/mods. Easy or not?
I just wondered how others felt about this. The reason I asked is that my eldest lad's SEAT Ibiza got damaged in a car park, and he's got it in today for repairs, lasting until Thursday.
In the meantime, he decided to "upgrade" it with Cupra grilles, red backed twin headlights, and foglights.
Firstly, the grilles were dirt cheap: the biggest one was only £18, the smaller ones being only £5 each.
Secondly, the headlights were real "plug and play" bits, just remove the old, replace with the new, plug in the wiring loom, and away you go, dispite the new lights being twin jobbies and the old ones single.
Even the foglights were easy: All brackets, switches to replace old versions without front fogs (again, same loom) and an extra bit of loom, and even covers with holes for foglights, all in the kit.
Just compare the PITA it was to put a rear wash-wipe on my UK classic
Subaru: please take note.
