MY04 WRX+PPP or Sell for MY03 STI
I am torn between saving up for a PPP upgrade to MY04 WRX or to trade it in for a MY03 STI, been looking into this and thought I would enlist the help of everyone here!!.
What are the pro's and con's for a PPP WRX against a year older STI?

If you haven't already, I'd recommend trying both before you decide!
You can also PPP the Sti ;-)

I would have to drive the STI like you said, only problem is with that is after driving one I will probably want an STI even more, so better get the cash ready for a PPP soonish after!
And if I did go for the STI then PPP or a ecutek tek3 remap would be high on the list or a TSL-333 conversion would be nice.
I think right now a STI has more scope and easier to upgrade than a standard wrx, just means I lose 1 years warranty which is no problem for me really as I only do <8000 miles a year.
To STI or not to STI that is the question

You definately need to try both.
I just changed my MY04 STi for a MY05 WRX PPP Wagon.
I was getting to the stage where I wasn't enjoying driving the Sti, it's too raw for my every day jouneys, I find the WRX much more comfy and I am really glad I changed.
I was thinking of moving away from Subaru altogether, but again really glad I didn't.
I actually wish I went the WRX route last time instead of moving from my UK300 to the STi, but the Sti was fun at times!!
It's really horses for courses.
Cheers

is there really that much difference between the ride in a WRX and STi?, I too am in this dilemer, and am going to take an Sti out. I've currently got a MY04 WRX SL, which has leather and an elec sunroof (which I would miss), the car has only done 6500 miles so would be perfect to ppp, also now it's done these miles it just gets better and better, so don't know if I want another year running in a new car, but then it's not an STi!!. oh well keep thinking!..........

LuckyScoob,
I noticed a big difference in the ride between the STi and the WRX. The STi might handle better to some people but I don't notice any differences in my normal use so far.
It really depends on each persons taste.
Me, I don't think I would go for another Sti again, I am preferring the WRX.
Cheers

Pretty much decided on a STI now after reading various threads on this forum, if I can get a good price for my car P/X then will look at trading it in, if not will advertise it privately on autotrader and see how I get on!
Now I am thinking I should of got a STI in the first place!!
