Exclamation M3/M27 Users please Read!

If you use the M27 or the M3 this potentially affects you so please
proceed with caution and pass onto anyone who you feel might just
need
to know. The program a BBC South commission called "Traffic Cops"
will
be filmed covering the area from Ringwood concentrating on Ringwood
M27
up to M3 J9 and a team working the ringroad around Southampton
(Totton
will have a unit working it alone), Cosham M27 stretch to J5 of the
M27
(Southampton Airport turn-off). The fourth concentration is working
from
Winchester Services covering M3 to J10 M3 (Winchester South) using
five
unmarked cars, two Black Skoda 03 registration Octavias, an 05 plate
dark red Mondeo and two Volvo saloon cars.

The BBC unit are going to be based out of Southampton and will also
be
covering the armed police response unit and the Southampton Airport
Police Security / British Transport Police team.

The BBC team are in Citreon Picasso MPVs leased from Arriva.

To make it even more effective the Traffic police have authority from
Chief Constable to "work to rule" So instead of the laid back
approach
to the usual Hants traffic police this will be a lot more
concentrated
to make it effective filming.

Bringing more criminals to justice eh? catching people doing 75 on a motorway, fining them £60 and putting up their insurance just for the sake of good television? What a f*cked up country we live in.

oh, that's just f'ing great

Another thing, have you noticed that we are seeing more and more of these namby pamby crap tv shows which show people who go over the limit as being out of control of their emotions and therefore unable to abide by the law. It's so damn condescending.

These shows are just a 'vehicle' to promote BLiar's crappy government's preposterous message that 'Speed Kills' and that anyone who wanders over the limit by more than mph is akin to Ian Huntley.

It's all revenue raising. If they are so concerned about saving lives then improve driving standards oh and clean up the hospitals so that old grannys don't die of MRSA infections (on wait a sec, that costs money and tackling it admits we have a problem).

interesting information given the thread I have just read regarding the car-jacking of Subaru's!
Perhaps a diversion of this "public money" from the licence fee to apprehend actual criminals out there taking peoples property with no regard for others.

Makes me sick. Reading in the Evening Standard that they are going to launch a campagin to try and make speed camera's seem friendly. They can't understand why the public resent them! They do take us all for easily brain-washed idiots.

Plod is also having a bit of a blitz at the top of the M3 as well.

Roadworks at J4/3 two scameras each way in the 50 limit.

They are also running some unmarked Volvos and Saabs up as far as the Sunbury turn off.
The Saabs are not your usual dark plod colours one is metallic green!!

Keep 'em peeled guys and gals!

Thumbs up

I'm heading down the M4/M3/M27 run this weekend ... thanks for the heads up (not that I speed excessively, but it's a rare Scooby driver who cruises the motorway on or just below the limit )
