Right V5 and insurance dont mention Import,
However... my research

The My99 Turbo2000 standard doesn't come with vented rear discs.. mine does AND when Subaru Imported this model they installed the The Sigma M30 alarm
which mine has

So whats going on ?

Mine a UK car and its got vented rear discs, i think all the later models have vented rears.
not sure about the alarm.
Best thing to do would be to check the chassis No, i think the imports have a shorter number about six digits.....i think!

The standard alarm fitted to UK cars (at least, cars of that era) is indeed the Sigma M30. It's fitted by Subaru after the car lands in the UK, because for insurance purposes it has to be fitted by a Thatcham approved installer and there aren't too many of those in Japan

Sounds like you have nothing to worry about - not that there's anything wrong with having an import (despite all the FUD that's thrown around).

I aint worried, but want to know. I bought the brakes and took the wheels off. Stopped and thought WTF? So I did my research. The company I bought them off "Parts CO" have had to order them in. Hopefully they will fit, gonna attemp a fitting tonight.
Will grab Vin and check when I get home Cheers

If your discs are vented and the replacement ones from partco are not, "DO NOT EVEN ATTEMPT TO FIT THEM AS THEY ARE THE WRONG DISCS" Remember subaru upgarded the brakes for the my99 onwards and it sounds like you have been given pre my99 ones.
