Question Octane booster...?

Hi there. I've a '93 WRX import. It's apparently been remapped for Optimax so the previous owner tells me. Should I be using an octane booster anyway to be safe?

Will it harm it if I use one and it has been remapped or doesn't it matter?

Thanks
Dave

I've had my 93 WRX for 5 years. Since getting it, I've put 73K miles on the clock, all without an octane booster. I just use normal super unleaded or Optimax.

I don't know if it makes much of a difference, but the first mod I did was replace the U8 ecu with a Z4..

If it's been re-mapped I wouldn't bother. Lots of lads run WRXs without Re-maps (including my best mate) without a problem. Having said that, if you're paranoid, it won't do any harm.
