Default What should a pay for 2002 wrx?

hi guys

Im currently on the hunt for a silver or rally blue subaru impreza wrx (uk). The car has to be standard wth full subaru service history. Im looking for a low milage (below 20k) and ive seen a 02 plate with 14k on the clock at £11700! Its in a dealers and he will let it go for 11k buts its the dark shade of blue which i dont really like. Is this a bit dear and if so do you no where there is a nice one for sale ?

Cheers

Wont the subaru prices decrease with the launch of the new model? will it be worth waiting for a few months? I might be after a Bugeye Sti or WRX blobeye. Maybe i should do more overtime at work lol

Think that is a fair price. That car is worth more than £8,500 - just have a look in Autotrader or similar if you want a rough idea how much it's worth.

Most of the 2002 models I've seen on trader are going for between 11.5k for average/high mileage ones and 12.5/13k for low mileage ones, 11k with 14,000 miles seems like a good price to me from a dealer. Main dealer near me has an 02 in at the moment and they want nearly 14k and its got 35k on the clock. Ive looked and I cant find any 02's for 8.5k, you can get a sport but not a turbo for that money.

I agree. I paid £9800 for a '51 plate WRX with 24k miles in May this year, so yours seems like a fair price.

Paid 12k for an 01 last november so 1 yr on 11k for an 02 sounds about right.

I paid 12 thousand in January for a 2001 WRX in Silver with 15,500 miles on the clock from a dealer (Subaru Used and Approved car). I know all Subaru's depreciate fairly heavily until a point and then level out if the car is kept well, but it will still be some time before you can pick up good condition new age WRX's for 8-9k.

you really should expect to pay quite a premium, as they are by far the most desirable Scoobies.

Isn't an Impreza bought from there not official so to speak - I know there are some downsides to buying that way?

I have just sold my 2001 wrx in wr blue (47500miles) with spoiler, morettes, sti wheels, skirts, carbon exhaust, dv, front splitter, gauges, flaps, clear lenses etc,FSSH, warranty til April 06, UK car, tracker etc for wait for it.....

in the 8's

It was mint and a cracking car but I needed to sell so I put it up for a good price and it did, worryingly it was advertised at that price for a while on here, autotrader, pheads, for that price with no interest at all.

Parkers was £8500 for it and I got a little more for it than that, cant see any bug WRX's fetching more than 10k privately in todays market

Was shocked to see yours up for sale for the price that it was mate. Still with the new model on the way and the low price of the Blob-eye's thanks to Subaru destroying their own residuals lately with 'deals' I suppose it is to be expected.

Always going to be a couple of grand higher at the garages though as the piece of mind (Subaru Used & Approved) costs a premium and your's was getting on for higher mileage.

The second hand value of the bug-eyes will level out shortly and selling price will be down to condition and mileage more than anything else as with the classics.

I also think high-fuel prices are affecting values too and once the situation stablises things should be a bit better.

47500 on a Y, thats approx 10k a year, I would'nt say that was anything like a higher milage and mine had Subaru approved warranty for 7 months

truth is the market for any car is on its **** but I agree with what you say, but a lot of people would be suprised what their car is worth, A guy on SIDC had a WRX PPP Blobeye up for sale for £10500 and it did'nt sell for ages

Doesn't look that good actually does it. Your's had good tasteful modifications too. I will be keeping mine for the foreseable future anyway.

Best way m8, they are great cars and worth more than they are fetching

Only way is to keep them and hope the prices even out
