Is WRC coming to the US?

That was cancelled about 6 months ago. SCCA couldn't get enough sponsorship. Under FIA WRC rules the car manhufacturers are not allowed to sponsor the event.
The best that can be hoped for is an event next year in the ASIA / Pacfic cup as a precursor to a full WRC round in 2002.
But I wouldn't hold my breath.
