flock is the collective noun for a group of sheep.

seriously tho, - if you are into Rallying/motorsport you will notice that a lot of the cars have a suede/alacantara dash to stop light reflecting on to the windscreen - these are known as flock dashes.

Does the dash have to be removed for this?

I was thinking of having this done to my dash quite a long time ago, but after speaking to the guy that was going to it , he said it will be no good trying to clean your window screen or surrounding area's as the flocking will retain all of the cleaning cloth fibre's and it will look terrible. Unless of course you are doing it in a rally car.....no problem

Only one place to go for flocking. Central Blast Cleaning in Banbury, just behind the railway station. They must do 99% of the rally car dashes judging by the number going in and out. Yes the dash has to come out.
