Have heard of indution kits causing maf problems,i cant confirm this as i have never fitted an induction kit,always went with an uprated panel,best to ask a good scooby tuner but it seems u will always get a diffrent ansewer the more people u ask.

MAF problems don't affect the new-age cars to the best of my knowledge.
An induction kit will help power but you need cold air ducting and inlet temps will rise easily in slow moving traffic, so expect minor driveability issues there. Believe a remap is strongly recommended with an induction kit even if you have only a partial de-cat. With most kits you will get a loud roar (some don't like it).

The car would take it but would need to be mapped with it on
