Default steam cleaning your engine

My engine on my 03 STI is a little bit dirty and I was wondering if anyone had any advice on detailing the engine. firstly is it okay if the the engine is steam cleaned? or can you just do it yourself with some gunk etc??

if anyone has any information on this I would be most grateful...........

Honestly the photos in the link above are not an exaggeration, it does leave a great finish in the engine bay with next to zero effort.

would buy two kits there just isn't enough in the cleaning spray, plenty in the detailling can though.

Good luck...
