Default Need some help with my STI 03 PPP

Hi Huys,
I am trying to decide will it be smart to add the ecutek to my STI 03 PPP.(Vr. 8)
I am running now with the PPP and with a boost controller, this gives me the option to go 1.2 bar up to 7600 RPM.

I have an option to add the ecutek to my car next month and i wanted to know if you guys think it will add something or maybe with the PPP and the boost controller im close to epitomize my engine.

Thanks for the help.

mate

i have the same car and was running 319bhp.

recently got the ecutek remap after making some changes to the turbo, headers, decat, etc and now its 403bhp.

if you just go and get a remap now youll get about 344 is its done well. best 550quid you could spend IMHO

you should not use boost controller with ppp as map would be unable to adapt to it-you need ecutek remap with exhaust mods at least to benefit
gumballer-met you at shell garage in dundee,i was in tsl sti 8 with daugter-never made it to wallace in the end, long run for no extra bhp!

Im not sure i met anyone as i live in Israel...
Although i was living in London in the past 2 years
Regarding the boost controller, i can tell you it is working gr8 with the PPP, and the difference between my car and my friend car who has only the PPP on it, is huge!
60-200(KM) - im ahead about 5-7 cars!!!
SO in my opinion it is working, and for the money it worth those are the cheapest HP you can buy.

@gumballer, who claims to give a PPP STi 344BHP with just a remap?

Agree with p1doc, that boost controller may cost you more money in the end...

It may be working in delivering a bit more bang for ya buck, but it may well make your engine go bang, literally!

In a word, 'yes'.

Your car is configured by Prodrive to run a particular boost level appropriate for their fueling and ignition map. If you fiddle with the boost without making appropriate alterations to the fueling etc.. the chances are the car will be running lean. This may have the effect of making it a bit faster (a dodgy MAF can have the same effect), but here's the con... the engine may well be detting its **** off, which could mean a rebuild. If it's running too lean you also stand a good chance of melting a piston -usually the no. 3 goes first!

Have a word with Prodrive's Mike Wood on here, and get a Knocklink or you may well be sorry, sooner rather than later.

i approached andy forrest in scotland a few months ago and asked him what power i could get with a PPP base. sorry i forgot to add a fuel pump and a boost guage.

He told me to come back when i had changed the turbo etc cos this would limit me to 345-350bhp.

thats who

i presume that is with exhaust and induction mods?
tsl reckon on a 333 bhp with their exhaust/filter/map-real power is jdm 350bhp with above mods nice
