Default tubo

thinking of buying a second hand turbo for my 93 wrx which is the best turbo to get a td04 or td05 ?

You need to replace like for like, if your car is fitted with a TD05 then replace it with the same, the ecu will have problems if you fit a bigger/smaller turbo (fuelling etc).

TDo5 as standard, so one of them, tdo 4 will mean some sort of remap required, it's also a backwards step....

will this matter as my ecu can be re mapped again has all ready been mapped once?

Yup, the car has to be remapped if you change something like a turbo for a different one, if you stick to a TD05 from a TD05 then you wont need to remap.

should the peak boost be about 5000 rpm on a td05

Peak is normally around 4-5k yes.

its just that i have a de cat down pipe and it has a tinny sond to it like there is something loose in the down pipe,have jacked the car up and banged the down pipe and it sounds like there is something metal in there?

I think you'll find that that sounds is the waste gate pulsing as it opens/shuts....

even with the engine off and i bang the down pipe with my hand you can hear something rattle inside the down pipe?
